Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 9, 2026
This policy explains how the True Caddie iPhone app ("True Caddie", "we") handles your information. The short version: True Caddie does not collect any personal data. Nothing you enter in the app is sent to us or to anyone else.
What stays on your phone
The app saves your bag (which clubs you carry and their yards), your swing thought, and app settings such as the caddie voice. This information is stored only on your iPhone. We cannot see it, and it is deleted when you delete the app.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking.
- No advertising, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- We don't sell or share any data, because we don't collect any.
Voice
The caddie voice that reads out your club uses Apple's built-in text-to-speech on your iPhone. The spoken text is not sent to us.
Location, microphone, and speech recognition
The current version of True Caddie does not ask for or use your location, microphone, or speech recognition. If a future version uses your location to work out which hole you're on, or listens for a spoken request, that processing will happen for the app to work and won't be sent to us. We will update this policy before any such change.
Apple
Apple may collect information when you download or use apps, as described in Apple's own privacy policy. That is outside our control.
Children
True Caddie is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
